Clipto is a Mac (and iOS) app that transcribes audio/video and lets you search your media in plain English, fully on-device. It indexes people, dialogue, actions, and scenes so you can jump to exact moments without uploading files.
How to use: Users can upload audio or video files to the Clipto.AI platform, or paste a URL from YouTube, Facebook, etc., to transcribe the content. The AI then generates a text transcript, which can be edited, downloaded in various formats (SRT, VTT, TXT, DOCX), or translated. The platform also offers tools for downloading YouTube videos and performing basic video editing tasks.
