Core features

  • Automated PCB layout generation
  • Physics-driven engine simulates real-world design constraints
  • Reinforcement learning generates multiple layout options in parallel
  • Supports multiple stackups and fab rule sets simultaneously
  • DRC/DFM checks on native files

Use cases

  • Automating test fixtures, prototypes, and internal requests for PCB designers
  • Shortening dev cycles and removing layout delays for product managers
  • Increasing output per engineer and reducing time to validated results for R&D leaders

How to use

Upload your schematic and a blank board file to Quilter. The software generates dozens of complete PCB designs, which you can review, select, and download fab-ready files for manufacturing. You can pre-place connectors or critical components before uploading.

FAQ

How does usage-based pricing work in practice?

Quilter bills only for the pins you download in a fab-ready design—not per seat, not per project. You can run unlimited iterations before selecting a final candidate; charges are only applied to designs you download.

Can I set a budget cap or PO ceiling?

We provide proactive usage alerts at 50%, 75%, and 90% of your monthly budget so you stay in control. You’ll always know how much you’re spending—and who’s spending it—before it becomes a problem.

Where does Quilter run—public cloud, private cloud, or on-prem?

Quilter is deployed on AWS and can be isolated in its own account and dev branch for each customer. For ITAR or highly restricted data, we can optionally deploy it in your private cloud or on-prem so designs never leave your network.

How do you keep our IP secure?

Every job is isolated, AES-256 encrypted in transit and at rest, and subject to your custom data retention policy. Quilter’s AI is trained exclusively on physics simulations—never on your designs—so your IP is never reused or learned from. For aerospace-grade confidentiality, we offer private-cloud or fully on-prem deployments.

What board sizes/layer counts can Quilter handle today?

More layers actually make routing easier for Quilter. We can pre-configure arbitrary stack-ups and routinely handle boards from 4 to 20+ layers; there’s no hard ceiling—the system adapts to the layer count you specify.

What happens if Quilter can’t complete my board?

Iterate as much as you want for free. You’re only billed when you download a result that meets your requirements. If something fails, just try again or adjust constraints—no charge until you approve a board.

How does Quilter support enterprise customers post-purchase?

We’re committed to your success. Every account includes a dedicated technical and commercial contact, regular roadmap reviews, and optional onboarding, training, and quarterly business reviews—because rollout success is our metric too.
